Car accidents: Police chase ends with crash that injures 2

Attempting to evade a traffic stop is a dangerous decision that may in turn place the well-being of others nearby in harm's way. Such behavior increases the chances car accidents will occur and those who encounter such negligence could be left suffering the consequences of a scenario over which they have no control. A recent collision involving similar circumstances in Montana has left reportedly two individuals with serious injuries.

The incident is said to have taken place shortly after authorities received reports of a man causing a disturbance in the parking lot of a local store. Upon arriving at the location, officers say the man hopped into his truck and proceeded to flee the scene. Soon thereafter, police assert that the truck crashed into the side of a nearby car and they say the man attempted to leave the scene on foot.

Authorities advised that the man was taken into custody soon thereafter on suspicion of drunk driving. They have also advised that at least two people suffered injuries in the crash, one of whom being the driver of the second vehicle. Attempting to evade police and driving under the influence of alcohol can be a dangerous combination and accidents that occur under similar circumstances can have cataclysmic results.

Individuals who suffer severe harm in car accidents involving a negligent driver may face a variety of hardships in life following the crash. Those who encounter such a scenario may wish to exercise their rights to pursue accountability through the civil justice system, and they could choose to retain the services of an attorney for guidance in the process. An attorney can evaluate the incident thoroughly and assist a client in Montana in pursuing the full amount of restitution entitled through a personal injury lawsuit.
