Car accidents: Crash on 2-lane road injures 3 in Montana

Attempting to pass another vehicle while on a two-lane road can be a hazardous maneuver. Judging the speed and distance of oncoming vehicles could prove challenging at times and errors in judgment could lead to major car accidents that place the safety of everyone involved at risk. A recent head-on crash involving a similar scenario in Montana has left as many as 3 people in the hospital with severe injuries.

The accident reportedly occurred on a two-lane road just after 10 a.m. on a recent Monday. Initial investigations indicate that a driver of the first vehicle maneuvered into the path on an oncoming vehicle while attempting to pass a tractor-trailer. The second driver was apparently unable to steer clear out of harm's way and the two vehicles proceeded to collide nearly head-on.

Upon arriving at the scene, emergency responders had to use hydraulic tools to rescue as many as three individuals from within the two vehicles. Each of the individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for medical care, one of whom was airlifted from the scene via helicopter. No further information was provided as to why the driver of the first vehicle might have attempted such a maneuver.

Car accidents can have catastrophic consequences and those who suffer serious injuries due to the actions of another party may be left wondering about the next steps to take to seek accountability. Following such an incident, a person in Montana could choose to gain insight into the available legal avenues by speaking with an experienced attorney. An attorney can examine the client's injuries and financial needs and assist him or her in pursuing the restitution entitled through a personal injury claim.
